What GoThundr is

GoThundr is an independent guide to random video chat: what the platforms are, how they differ, and which one fits what you are trying to do. We also run our own one-on-one video chat, which is where our revenue comes from.

We are not Thundr

GoThundr is an independent video chat discovery and comparison website. We are not affiliated with Thundr or the services reviewed on this site. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

We chose a name in the same space as a product we cover, so it is worth being blunt: if you were looking for Thundr, this is not it. What you will find here is an assessment of it, including the parts we could not verify.

How we make money

By running a video chat product of our own and recommending it. That is a conflict of interest, and the honest way to handle it is to disclose it everywhere rather than bury it in a footer: every card, table and CTA that points at our product says it is ours.

What we do not do is let it decide the facts. Where a competitor is better at something — reach by country, moderation, having an actual mobile app — the comparisons say so.

Who writes this

GoThundr Editorial — Video chat research team. We test and track consumer video chat platforms, record what each one actually offers, and keep the comparisons current. Where a feature cannot be confirmed from a primary source, we say so rather than guess.

We publish under a team byline rather than inventing a named reviewer with a fabricated résumé. If we later put a real person's name and credentials on this work, it will be because there is a real person to name.
